The templates tab start, tab active, tab inactive and tab end are used together to create a line of tabs. Following is the syntax:

{{tab start}}
{{tab inactive|Inactive tab 1}}
{{tab active|Active tab}}
{{tab inactive|Inactive tab 2}}
{{tab inactive|Inactive tab 3}}
(... and so on)
{{tab end}}

The above code generates something like the following:

Inactive tab 1

Active tab

Inactive tab 2

Inactive tab 3

Note that the tab labels can be links. For example,:

{{tab inactive|[[मुखेल पान|Mukhel pan]]}}
