Girgit, a tool for transliteration between the Indian scripts has been released under the GPL. It is worth investigating whether it can be integrated to the Konkani Wikipedia, which has multiple writing scripts.[1][2]

Is there some site where we can go and try out the transliteration?
It was hosted on a site, which was quite popular, but it is no longer active any more.
There are transliteration rules which are specific to Konkani. The basics of these are given on the project page. We are first going to try and implement the backend of the site konkanverter.com, because the transliteration on this site is based on a lot of research and refinement done. In case this does not work out, then we will go for other options.
